This change means better performance and longer life.
What is the 500+ Coating?
The 500+ Coating is a specialist anti-corrosion system designed to withstand over 500 hours in a neutral salt spray test. It’s a multi-layered, scratch- and rust-resistant coating applied through a dip, spin, and bake process at temperatures below 200°C.
Layered Protection
- Metallic Zinc Layer (5μm) – Provides sacrificial galvanic protection directly above the metal substrate.
- Chemical Passivation Layer – Creates a strong bond between the zinc and ceramic surface.
- Ceramic Surface Layer (10μm) – Delivers exceptional abrasion resistance and environmental protection.
This process is environmentally responsible, avoiding harmful substances like hexavalent chromium (Cr6), which can be present in some galvanising and electroplating methods.

Outperforms BZP in corrosion resistance (500+ hours vs. a fraction of that for BZP).
Proven Performance
Installers will experience no loss in drilling speed or performance when switching from BZP to our 500+ Coating fasteners, and we recommend using a screw gun with an RPM of 1500-2500.
Environmentally Sensitive
The 500+ Coating manufacturing process is eco-conscious, producing no contaminated waste by using a low temperature bake to preserve energy and ensure the mechanical properties of the fastener remain intact.
